In 2016, as my time working as a Motion Picture camera assistant gently came to a close, a new chapter quietly began. It wasn’t just about finding more time with my two small children—it was about finding myself. JTC Photography was born not as a business plan, but as a natural extension of who I was becoming: a storyteller trading the silver screen for something more intimate and lasting through the portrait lens.

Photography wasn’t just a career shift; it became the place where my creativity and my deep love for human stories finally met. When I first took my camera underwater in 2019, I had no idea those portraits would become a lifeline—a shimmering thread pulling me through the hard seasons of separation, family changes, burnout, and the quiet shadows of depression. The water didn’t just transform my subjects; it quietly and profoundly transformed me.
